_. The Dowager Baroness Middleton, chatelaine of Birdsall House, Malton, North Yorkshire, who worked for MI6 and championed Lloyds names, died 24 April, 2015. She was aged 89.
She was Janet Denyse Cornwall (the family didn't become Marshall Cornwall for another 2 years), only daughter of General Sir James Handyside Marshall Cornwall, KCB, CBE, DSO, MC, by his wife the former Marjorie Scott Owen, and was born in London, 16 Dec, 1925. She married in 1947, the12th Baron Middleton (1921-2011), and is the mother of the 13th Baron (b 1948), the Hon John Hugh Francis Willoughby (b 1951), and the Hon Thomas Henry Richard Willoughby (b 1955).
