From the Telegraph of 30 Jan 2023: GODFREY-FAUSSETT Richard Hugh died after a short illness on 11th January 2023, aged 90. Much loved husband of Anna, father to Christopher, Matthew and Islay and grandfather of 6. At his request, a private cremation with a memorial service to follow in the spring. No flowers please, but any donations in lieu to Dementia UK…

He was s of Brig Bryan Trevor GODFREY-FAUSSETT CB DSO OBE MC 1896-1970 scion of that gentry family f/o Heppington and Katherine Monica 1899-1987 d of James Harper PATERSON 1858-1933 of Harviestoun House, Midlothian and Katherine TOD c1864-1944. He m 1962 Anne Granville d of Col Granville MURRAY of Waterside House, Weir, Dumfriesshire, and had two sons and a dau as above:

1. Christopher Bryan m 1995 Lady Diana Evelyn BOWES-LYON b 1966 d of 17th Earl of Strathmore & Kinghorne 1928-87 (The QUEEN MOTHER’s nephew & 1st once removed of The KING etc) and Mary Pamela McCORQUODALE b 1932 scion of that gentry family f/o Cound Hall, and had two sons and two daus.

2. Matthew Charles b Jan 1966 reg Q1 Kent (I assume Co’s House ‘1968’ is a typo), m 1994 Samantha Karen b 1967 d of Lt-Cdr Nicholas John DU CANE WILKINSON and Elizabeth Amoret b 1942 d of John Amory Forrest GETHIN 1916-65 (gs of Sir Richard Charle Percy GETHIN 7th Bt 1847-1921) and Barbara Damarel Cicely WESTLAKE 1916-2019, and had a son (Thomas Alexander b 1999) and a dau (Iona Elizabeth b 1997 reg Q4 London)

Alexander Aiken is the second son of the late Michael Patrick AIKEN, MBE (5 I 1939 - 24 III 2019) and his wife (married c.1965, possibly in her native Germany?), Sigrid Irmgard ("Sigi") LANGE (born 8 III 1944).

Yes, Richard Godfrey-Faussett was a brother-in-law of Lady Cameron of Lochbroom.
