Gen Sir Peter John Hall Leng KCB MBE MC (1925-2009) died on 11
February. He married 1st (div 1981) Virginia Rosemary Pearson by whom
he had 3 sons & 2 daus; he married 2nd 1981 Flavia dau of Lt-Gen Sir
Frederick Browning, KCVO, DSO, and Dame Daphne du Maurier, DBE.

Gen Leng’s eldest son, Hamish Peter, married 1996 Venetia Elizabeth (b
1965), eldest dau of Sir Charles Mander 3rd Bt. They have a son and a
dau.

....and Virginia Rosemary Leng is descended from the Bowes Lyon family
- & a cousin of HM The Q.
