He was s of Maj Geoffrey Copson PEAKE TD 1882-1968 scion of that gentry family f/o Burrough-on-the-Hill and Kathleen 1893-1979 d of Arthur GILLIAT 1856-1935 by his 1887 m reg Q1 Leeds to Mary Gertrude SOWRY 1866-1954.
