BLG 1965
The current head of family and owner of Prideaux Place, Peter John Nicholas P-B and his wife Elisabeth were featured in an article in one of the supplements to the Daily Telegraph on Sat 22 May 2021 - The reality of living in a stately home: running a house with 40 rooms is a constant struggle (telegraph.co.uk) - you have to scroll down a bit

I believe Peter P-B m (1) Vivien P Gibson in 1971 - she died 1983 (?).  The two sons mentioned in the article are actually from this marriage.  He m (2) 1988 Elisabeth Grant Peterkin (b Oct 1948)

The two sons are Nicholas P, the elder  - he appears to have married 2004 Martha TD Collins.  There appear to be possible issue - see  instagram site prideauxwalledgarden

The engagement of the younger son has been reported on this group: Prideaux-Brune/Collins engagement (google.com) - The engagement was announced in September, 2006, between William A.
Prideaux-Brune, scion of that BLG family of Prideaux Place, Cornwall,
younger son of Mr Peter Prideaux-Brune, and the late Mrs Vivien
Prideaux-Brune, of Prideaux Place, Padstow, Cornwall, and Laura A.
Collins, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Nigel Collins, of Fulbourn,
Cambridge.

In looking at the Prideaux Place website I came across a news item that the house and garden were going to be closed in connection with the funeral of the sister of Peter P-B, Mary Parr, in August 2018.  I don't think her death was reported on this group but she died on 9 Aug 2018 (probate search - Mary-Therese Parr).  Death notice in Telegraph - PARR Mary-Thérèse (Widgey) on August 9th 2018, Widgey, aged 76 years, of Padstow, Cornwall. Most special wife of the late Tim and mother of Henrietta and Anna. All enquiries to R. J. Bray & Son, Funeral Directors: 01208 812626.

Slightly expanded death notice from Cornwall press with grandchildren, sons-in-law (not sure which paper but via funeral-notices.co.uk) - PARR Mary-Thérèse (Widgey) At home on August 9th 2018, Widgey, aged 76 years of Padstow. Most special wife of the late Tim, mother of Henrietta and Anna, mother-in-law to Dan and Nigel and a wonderful grandmother of Finn and Oscar. Funeral service, St Petroc's Church, Padstow, Thursday August 23rd at 11.00 am, followed by a private interment. Family flowers only, donations in lieu for Macmillan Cancer Support by retiring collection or c/o R. J. Bray & Son, Funeral Directors, Egloshayle Road, Wadebridge, PL27 6AD. Tel: 01208 812626.

One of the comments on the fb announcement of her death by prideaux place offers condolences to Henrietta and Anna as well as Peter and Elisabeth.

His yr s William m 2007 Laura A Collins (engagement referred to above)

According to Burke's, Peter Prideaux-Brune's sister Mary Therese had m 1979 Martin R CHARLTON s of Raymond CHARLTON and Audrey PARR. She must therefore have m (2) Tim PARR - perhaps a relation of her 1st h's mother?

Mrs Vivien Patricia PRIDEAUX-BRUNE, née GIBSON (24 III 1944 - 31 XII 1983), the first wife (married 1971) of Peter John Nicholas PRIDEAUX-BRUNE, was the daughter of Maj Arthur Creagh GIBSON, MC (29 X 1912 - 17 XII 1970) and his wife (married 1940), Barbara Maeveen BLUNDELL BROWN (24 VII 1918 - c.2014).

Maj Arthur Gibson was the younger, but only surviving, son of Maj Thomas George GIBSON, CBE (1 I 1878 - 21 XII 1955) and his wife (married 5 VI 1907), Mary Helen ("Mollie") CREAGH (8 X 1882 - 10 VIII 1960), of that landed gentry (LG) family, of Ballygarrett (see under Brasier-Creagh in Burke's Irish Family Records (1976)).

Mrs Martha Thalia Daisy PRIDEAUX-BRUNE, née COLLINS (born 1975), the wife of Nicholas Pagan PRIDEAUX-BRUNE (born May 1975), is the daughter of Richard Jonathan COLLINS (born 9 VI 1945) and his first wife (married 14 VII 1974, divorced 1987), Diana Adeline GOEDHUIS (born 6 V 1946), the daughter of Prof Daniel GOEDHUIS (14 II 1905 - 5 X 1995), sometime Civil Air Attaché at the Netherlands Embassy, and his first wife (married 21 IV 1939), Rachel Daphne HENDERSON (12 IV 1916 - 1973), who was herself the daughter of the Hon Arnold HENDERSON (1 VII 1883 - 12 III 1933), the fifth son of the 1st Baron Faringdon.

Richard Jonathan Collins is the second of the four sons of the Rev Canon (Lewis) John COLLINS (23 III 1905 - 31 XII 1982) and his wife (married 21 X 1939), Diana Clavering ELLIOT (13 VIII 1917 - 23 V 2003), who became Dame Diana Collins on her appointment as a DBE in 1999. Mr Collins eldest brother, Sir Andrew David COLLINS (born 19 VII 1942), is a retired Justice of the High Court, and his youngest brother is the psychiatrist Dr Mark Nathaniel COLLINS (born 1 VI 1952), who is the second husband (married 1985, as his second wife) of Rosamond Philippa JESSEL (born III 1957), whose first husband (married 1980, as his first wife) was the Hon John David LEIGH-PEMBERTON (born 16 III 1955), the eldest son of the Life Peer Baron Kingsdown.

Mrs Rosamond Collins, formerly Leigh-Pemberton, née Jessel, is the fourth daughter of Oliver Richard JESSEL (24 VIII 1929 - 21 VI 2017) and his wife (married 1950), Gloria Rosalie Teresa HOLDEN (22 XII 1931 - 17 IV 2019). Oliver Jessel was the elder brother of Thomas Francis Henry ("Toby") JESSEL (11 VII 1934 - 3 XII 2018), MP (Conservative) for Twickenham, 1970-97, and they were great-grandsons of the 1st Viscount Bearsted.

It seems that Mary Thérèse PRIDEAUX-BRUNE was only married once, to Martin Rennel Charlton ("Tim") PARR (11 II 1928 - 23 IV 2016), this marriage having been registered in Bodmin in Q2 1979. Mr Parr was the younger son of Raymond Cecil PARR (8 X 1884 - 10 I 1965), of that LG family, of Grappenhall Heyes, Cheshire (which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in Burke's LG in the 1900 edition, but which I have found in the 1921 edition), a diplomat, and his wife (married 15 III 1913, as her first of three husbands), Andrée Manuela Alexandre Joaquina ("Audrey") BAPST (3 XI 1892 - 7 V 1940), who was the elder half-sister of the magazine editor Baron Nicolas Louis Alexandre DE GUNZBURG (12 XII 1904 - 20 II 1981).

The engagement of Henrietta Mary Audrey PARR (born 1980) to Nigel C PARKES was announced in 2013. Her sister's full maiden name was Anna Cecilia Mary Diana PARR (born 1981).

The birth of an Oscar Thomas Daniel LEATHERDALE, mother's maiden surname Parr, was registered in West Sussex in Q2 2010. I presume he is the younger brother of the Finlay Martin Brian LEATHERDALE, mother's maiden surname Parr, whose birth was registered in Hayward's Heath in Q4 2007.
