DOYNE-DITMAS - Anne died peacefully on 14th December in Somerset, aged 89. Wife of the late Major Philip Doyne-Ditmas (KOSB), mother of four, grandmother of fourteen and sister to seven. Thanksgiving Mass will take place at the Holy Cross Convent, Haslemere, GU27 1NQ, on Thursday 27th December at 2 p.m. followed by a private burial in Beverley. She was d of Cmdr Robert Tatton BOWER RN (1894-July 1975), scion of that gentry family fomerly of Welham, and the Hon Henrietta May Caribbea STRICKLAND (1903-Sep 1975) d of the 1st and last Baron STRICKLAND GCMG (1861-1940) & 6th Count Della Catena in Malta, and his 1st w Lady Edeline SACKVILLE-WEST (1870-1918) d of 7th Earl DE LA WARR (1817-96). She m 1946 as his 2nd w Maj Philip Edward Churton Vigors (1918-80) s of Maj Harold Edward Churton DOYNE-DITMAS, formerly DITMAS (1881-1945), scion of that gentry family of Countess Weir, Devon, and his wife a scion of the PAYNE Bts and the Irish gentry family of DOYNE. They had 2 sons and 2 daus.
