From the Telegraph of 11 Jan 2022: HOARE Victor Charles Seymour. Captain (retired) Life Guards. Widower of Cynthia (née Cookson). Died peacefully in the John Radcliffe Hospital on 19 December 2021 aged 94. Much loved husband, brother, uncle and friend to many. Private funeral.
He was s of Capt Algernon Seymour HOARE 1886-1952 scion of that gentry family of Stourton and his 2nd w (Wynefred) Nancy 1899-1987 d of Guy SHORROCK 1867-1941 and Emma Blanche 1868-1909 d of Adm Charles WAKE 1824-90 (s of Sir Charles WAKE 10th Bt 1791-1864). He m 1971 reg Q3 London Cynthia Anne 1935-2019 d of Roland Antony COOKSON 1908-91 scion of that gentry family of Meldon Park and Rosamond Gwladys 1909-73 d of Sir John Storey BARWICK 2nd Bt 1876-1953.

The "Seymour" comes from his great-grandmother, Julia Seymour Treherne Seymour (26 Jul 1827-14 Dec 1903), of the Dukes of Somerset, who married Henry James Hoare in 1846.
