+ John Nigel Bingham (1915-2005)

Capt. John Nigel Bingham, Coldstream Guards, who died 20 January, 2005,
aged 89, was a scion of the Earls of Lucan, and a descendant of King
Charles II.

He was born in 1915, the only son of Lt-Col Ralph Charles Bingham,
DSO, (1885-1977), grandson of Major the Hon Sir Cecil Bingham, GCVO,
KCMG, & great- grandson of the 4th Earl of Lucan, KP, (1830-1914) by
his wife Lady Cecilia Catherine Gordon-Lennox, daughter of the 5th Duke
of Richmond, KG, &c.

Mr Bingham, of Stone House, Brimpton, Reading, married 26 June, 1943,
Elisabeth Rosamund (b 23 May, 1919;d. 16 June, 2003), the second
daughter of Sir Algernon Thomas Peyton, 7th & last Baronet (1889-1962),
by his wife Joan Stratford Dugdale, of the Dugdale Baronets.

Issue of the marriage:-

(1) Lavinia Frances Bingham, b. 1949, m. 1975, Robert David Barbour,
and has issue.

(2) Veronica Annabel Bingham, b. 1952, m. 1988, Raymond John Williams,
and has issue.

The funeral is at St Peter's Church Brimpton, Reading, 1 February,
2005.
