From the Telegraph of 22 Feb 2022: WILLIS FLEMING Sonia nee TYLDEN passed away peacefully on 16th February. Beloved wife of Dick, and much loved mother of Siobhan and Kristina. And adored grandmother of Sophie, Julie, Daisy Gemma, Christopher, Jamie, Antony and Tom. She will be much missed by us all.
She was d of Capt James Richard TYLDEN 1889-1949 sometime head of that gentry family (later TYLDEN-WRIGHT) and his 1st w (her 1st h, her 2nd was Vice-Adm Sir Francis Tower KBE CB) Mary Estelle Clayton 1893-1978 d of Robert Clayton SWAN 1864-1929 and Mildred Mary 1868-1917 d of Sir George William ELLIOT 2nd Bt 1844-95. She m 1st 1948 (div 1953) Hon Alan John Francis MACKAY 1919-99 s of 2nd Earl of INCHCAPE 1887-1939 and his 1st w (her 1st h, her 2nd h was Capt Douglas Beech) Frances Caroline (Joan) MORIARTY 1895-1933, and had two daus as above. She m 2nd 1953 Richard Hugh 1921-2006 s of Brig John Browne Phillimore WILLIS FLEMING CBE 1895-1967 whom he succ as head of that gentry family f/o Stoneham and Eirene CHARRINGTON 1901-87 scion of that gentry family of Bures Manor.
