From the Telegraph of 3 August 2020: DEEN John Henry on 31st July, 2020 in Paris. He fought until the end. Much loved husband of Catherine, father to Emma, James, Hetta and Alice and stepfather to Max, Rita, Frederic and Stanislas and a loving grandfather. A private funeral will be held in Paris and a celebration of his life in London will be announced in due course.

He m 1st 1970 (div 1976) Susan Jane SEFTON-SMITH (b1948) gt gd of Sir Thomas SALT 1st Bt (1830-1904), no issue. He m 2nd 1982 (reg Q2 London, note NOT m 1981 as stated in Debrett, div 1991) as her 2nd h (Henrietta) Nina Sylvia (b 1945, the interior designer Nina Campbell) d of Col John Archibald CAMPBELL (1898-1974, s of Lt-Col Sir Guy Theophilus CAMPBELL 3rd Bt (1854-1931)) and his 2nd w Elizabeth Popper PEARTH (1914-96), and had a dau Alice Nina (b 1982) as above, who is m to a gs of the LP Baroness SHARPLES (b 1923) and has two sons. He m 3rd 1993 (reg Q4 London) Catherine J M T BONNE, and had a further two daus and a son as above.

Ancestry shows the births of Richard Henry J. Deen and Henry Rupert A. Deen (January-March 1966; can't find the death of the latter one) and Henrietta Davine M. Deen (July-September 1968) registered in Paddington, Greater London. They are thus also from the first marriage. Emma S.L. Deen's birth was registered there July-September 1964.

John Deen died on 31 July 2020, aged 77.

Funeral mass: église Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin in Paris (VII) on 12 August 2020.
