He was s of Rev Arthur Guy Godolphin Carleton PENTREATH (1902-85) by his 1927 m (reg Q4 Yorkshire) to Margaret Leslie CADMAN (1903-80). He m 1956 Barbara Anne (b 1934) d of Lt-Col George Aubrey HOWARD-VYSE (1874-1953), scion of the gentry family of that name formerly of Stoke, and Mary Frances Helena DALTON (1900-75), scion of the gentry family of that name of The Hutts, and had two sons (of whom Thomas Aubrey Richard b&d 1961) and a dau as above.
