This responds to her inclusion in the
Centenarians Part 5 list for 2026.
She is described as "Much loved mother of Victoria, Elizabeth & John". These are also the names of Mrs SHEEHAN's children by her first husband John Hayton GIBBONS, in order of their birth. The cemetery is also in the same council area in which colinp lists Mrs SHEEHAN as last known to be resident (she lived in Newport, Northern Beaches Council, New South Wales). However, more work might be needed because the memorial does not mention either of her husbands, or give a date of birth or age at death. It also gives a middle name which, from colinp's list, does not seem to be known to DPB.
I have not been able to find a memorial to her second husband so far (although only around 21% of memorials in this cemetery have currently been indexed on FindAGrave). I located a memorial to her first husband, John Hayton GIBBONS, in the Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens and Crematorium in North Ryde, New South Wales; DPB gives his year of birth as 1909, but, according to FindAGrave (although lacking a photograph), his memorial states that he was born on 9 October 1910.
The memorial also states that this lady is "Sadly missed by her stepchildren & grandchildren". Are any grandchildren known to DPB?
If a match, she was born Phyllis [Margaret] GREENWOOD and m 1st 1945 John Hayton GIBBONS 1909-63 (3x gt gs of Sir John GIBBONS 2nd Bt (GB 1752) KB MP c 1717-1776), and had 1 son and 2 daughters as above. She m 2nd Donald SHEEHAN. No issue of the marriage.
