Peer Bridger position requires certification through the Florida Certification Board as a Recovery Peer Specialist or Recovery Support Specialist as well as availability of an automobile (unless waived), Driver’s License, Clear Driving record and proof of insurance. This position is largely community based so we prefer a candidate with a car but we would consider someone who has excellent public transit knowledge and a bus pass.
The Peer Bridger will focus on engaging members who have been admitted to an inpatient level of care. The Peer Bridger forms a relationship with the member in the hospital and engages in the discharge planning process and provides ongoing support as the consumer transitions back into the community. The objective is to link the consumer to appropriate community support and to reduce future psychiatric hospitalizations.
This is a part time position that we expect to work between 15-20 hours per week.
