Portolets at Rileys

Anyone know for sure if the portolets are locked at Rileys Lock due to the government shutdown?

Nope. The bathrooms at Ft. Hunt and Belle Haven parks are locked. There are plenty of discrete places to take care of business so no problem.

I am not totally sure, but will be there this morning. I think that the bathrooms at the end parking lot may be locked. But there are bathrooms in the parking lot next to the boat ramp that are run by the state or county. Those are likely open.

The lot at the end is open and the porta potties are too but did not check condition. That lot is like craters of the moon. Much better to park by the boat launch area. Carol
