Important Instructions:

START - Meet 9:40  Cycling at 9:50.   At the gate by 10:00.   

Meet at the Martin's shopping center, back beside where the K-Mart used to be.  Hard to miss the big building without a logo.  Many coming prefer this start location and I'm all about democracy.

If you prefer the base of Skyline (as I do), please be ready to join us as we pass by.

REST STOP #1   Mile 40ish Shell station on the Right in Luray.

REST STOP #2 -  Mile 60  Optional

Fort Valley store is closed; - we can stop at the store and get water at the fire dept.

BUT, I suggest you drink a liter when you get home from work Monday, and a liter when you awaken Tuesday, because you can go a long way properly hydrated ;-)   It will in the 80s in the valley.

For anyone who wants to please feel free to rest stop at Elk Wallow.  I've never understood that rest stop.  From mile 22 to mile 40 you are almost all down hill. 
Elk Wallow is mile 25 on this cue I think.

The weather calls for 50% chance of scattered storms beginning from 3 pm -5 pm.

Terry & Joyce moved the ride to Thursday, which looks like far better weather, but I am cycling today.

50% chance of no scattered storms, and another chance the scattered will miss me.  Since Tom is planning to cycle today in his week in the U.S. we will cycle.  He and his wife have other plans the rest of the trip. And I got trounced last week, so oh well. 

We will start from the parking lot as close to 9:30 as possible.  Let me know if you are coming.

How about the Blue Ridger from Marshall at 9:30 or 10:00? Chances of rain are only 20% at 2:00 and 40% at 3:00. Earlier it looks good. Any takers?

There was so much water involved, it was like an aquavelo in reverse. Bike the first leg and then swim home. I think we passed a school of trout during the last leg. It was the most fun I’ve had on a bike in a while.
