I have shortened the old Pedalers ride from Leesburg "Harp Hill Century" to a metric. I haven't been into the section of MD in years. Is the Maryland portion still viable? Are all the roads still usable without undo danger? If so, where would you suggest a rest stop to be?

Thanks for the input.
Brent

I have been over most of these roads in the last 60 days.  The exception would be Highland School/Fischer’s Hollow.  Fischer’s Hollow and Wistman are pretty steep descents, one is trickier than the other; neither are really dangerous.  I am not avoiding these roads, I just have not routed our group through them in a while.

Your rest stop is a little (100 yards) beyond your route in Wolfsville- now called “The Wolfsville Store."  It is now call the Wolfsville shop after a couple of recent changes.  It is open and they have benches outside.  There are also opportunities in Middletown.

At 27.8 eliminate U-turn.

At mile 30.3, you are close to 2 stores if they are still open.
Do not turn right onto MD-17.  Instead, continue about .1 mile to Stotylmyer Rd & store on your right.
Afterwards, reverse back .1 mile and turn right onto MD17.
If the first store was not open, in about a mile, Deloite & Sons is a country gas station/store on left before you get to Highland School Rd.
Around mile 20 & 43.8 is another Deloite & Sons store.  It might be your best spot for 2 stops.  It is at end of Holter Rd

Roads look OK.  We do Holter Rd to Jefferson more than Old Milton.

Let me suggest that if one skips a R only to U-turn back
to that junction after the shortly removed store stop,
to continue, one should --now riding opposite-- turn LEFT onto Rt.17?!

(-;

ps :  '.1' is too easily mis-read, vs. '0.1' (the Ada language required this).
