I'm 100% willing to give Jack Smith a comp'd registration to our Land Trust of VA Bike The Gravel. And his poor security detail, I'll pay for myself.    Imagine the security detail trying to keep up with Mr Overachiever. 

So if anyone talks to my hero, Jack, please let him know. 

Sorta makes more sense now.   Pleasantly plump Aileen, and Unpleasantly fat Don are envious of Jack's insane fitness.  Speaking of envy, have you watched any of the Olympic Trials? Holy Moly!  Ryan Murphy looks like he is sculpted out of stone!

It's funny, I've heard of plenty of Democratic pols riding bikes, but the only Republican I can remember hearing about was Bush the Younger. My favorite Democrat was the Secretary of the Air Force in the Clinton administration who came along on a Pedalers ride to Happy Harbor and had some kind of mechanical problem that was going to prevent her returning to the ride start. Another Pedaler who happened by on his motorcycle and gave her a ride back to the parking lot so she could get her car.

DOT's Secretary Pete B rides to work at times, and our Deputy Secretary Polly Trottenberg rides or walks to work every day, including to some meetings.  I rode with her on a short recreational ride in Miami last month. Energy Deputy Secretary David Turk is a pretty serious rider.

My wife and I were looking for a saddle for her bike at Bike Doctor in Frederick when we saw this celebrity local chef getting his bike fixed.  I can’t remember what bike he had, but I think it was a high-end carbon road bike.  It’s interesting to find out which  famous people are cyclists.  Robin Williams was a pretty obsessed cyclist with a huge collection of bikes
