Low-Priced Cycling Gear at Lidl This Week

The Lidl grocery chain is featuring a variety of low-priced, but respectable, cycling accessories this week.  While not designed for many years of enthusiast-level use, the offerings are clearly superior to what one generally finds at discount department stores.  The quality seems fine for items that one will use only occasionally, as duplicates or spares, and as gifts for more casual cyclists.

The ad copy below shows just a fraction of the offerings, which also include cycling gloves (@ $2.99/pair), a metric offset box-wrench set (10-17 mm for $4.99), a nice boxed bike cleaning kit with many assorted brushes ($9.99), bike cleaners and lubricants, a compact saddle bag designed to hold a rear light, a breakdown repair kit, a pannier set for $12.99, a two-level bike storage stand for $39.99, and tire pumps (mini and floor models).  The men's bib shorts at $9.99 are an outstanding value.  Some items may sell out quickly.

Thanks for making us aware. The Fair Lakes Walmart also has a quite a few bike accessories on sale right now (pumps, gloves, lights) last aisle to the right after you enter. Lidl's rival Aldi tends to have some cycling items in May.

I got the repair stand at Lidl, and it is really not bad.  The sizing on the shorts was way off
