We’re reaching out because of your support for the local cycling community. We’d love to invite your riders to be part of a huge journey rolling right through your area soon.
This summer, our son is tackling a massive challenge. He's a high school junior and a passionate road cyclist, and he is riding 1,700 miles all the way from Miami to New York City. He actually founded the Chains United Relay Event part of his non-profit, Wheels For Tomorrow.
He’s doing this to raise funds for cancer prevention research, a cause he is passionate about. He will donate all the proceeds to the American Institute for Cancer Research, the Silent Spring Institute, and the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
First and foremost, this is a relay event where we are looking for local riders to join him on a segment in your local area. Of course, we know that summer heat is no joke. If people want to support but stay cool inside, we completely get it. They can still join the team by cheering him on virtually, sharing his story, or making a donation from home.
Our ask, would you be open to sharing a quick link to his ride on your Facebook or Instagram? Or mentioning it to your riders, and pinning the attached flyer to your bulletin board?
Having fellow cyclists by his side whether out on the asphalt or virtually would mean the world to him as he pushes through the miles. Here are the links to the segments in his route Virginia, D.C. and Maryland.
You can check out his daily route, pick a spot to ride along, do a virtual ride or make a donation at www.chainsunited.org/.
Thank you so much for your time and for everything you do for local riders!
Warmly,
Zeynep and Greg Miller
Proud Support Crew (Mom & Dad)
I am sorry to say that the IRS tax exempt organization search does not return any results for "wheels for tomorrow" or "chains united relay". It might be wise to call and ask a few questions before giving them money.
