For designing a fixed tube sheet exchanger, which has to be ASME "U" stamped/certified, as per the licensor’s process datasheet MOC for Hot tubesheet is LAS i.e. SA 336 F11 CL.3 whereas MOC for Cold Tubesheet is CS i.e.SA 765 Gr.II.
But,
As per ASME UHX 13.2,
"The two tubesheets shall have the same thickness, material and edge conditions"

So, I would like to have your opinion regarding the use of different materials for both tubesheet.

Will the same deviate code and will cause problem for ASME "U" stamp/certification ??

You can use U-2(g) to design as per TEMA or EN standards, refer UHX-10 (When these conditions of applicability are not satisfied, see U-2(g).)

UHX 13.1 : states “ may have” the four configurations, than usual “shall”
