This is Sriram here from HCL BSERV. As discussed today over a telephonic discussion with you, we are looking for students from SSN for the Intellectual Property Management (IP) practice that we are setting up.
It would be a certification program through 1-2 semesters and based on their performance through their presence in HCL, we would look at recruitment on a permanent basis. The requirement is for students to spend their time post college hours (weekdays post college hours and weekends during the day time) whenever the requirement is available.
I have pasted the details of the candidate requirements that we are looking at.
I would appreciate if you could respond on this. I could drive this through our HR if it interests you.

Student requirements: ME (1st and 2nd year students preferred),
Academics: >7 (CGPA) or 70%
Value adds that could interest us:
-Interest and Drive to learn
-An interest or knowledge of Intellectual Property Management (IP),
Patents, R and D etc. This could be any amount of exposure with regard to
research in their respective branches.
Nature of Program:
We would be providing them initial training over the first few weekends on
the nature of work that they need to execute. Besides that, we would
expect them to work beyond their college hours through the semester(s) over a
wide range of projects. Even though our focus as of now is on IP, this
could spread across many verticals and provide them exposure over a variety of projects. In addition,
we are also looking at providing them a certification at the end of the
program.
Duration of the program: 1-2 Semesters (could expand it to one year based on
performance)
Number of people that we intend recruiting for this program: 10-20
Value add to students:
- Exposure to global IP platforms such as Thomson Reuters and working on sophisticated patents
- Understanding patent portfolio management and analyzing patent portfolios
- Interactions with leading scientists who are in the process of making patents
- The work could be used for their final year projects and would provide a unique proposition to students
- The certification provided is valuable and could assist students in their future endeavors.
