Hi,
i was just experimenting a bit with different breathing techniques and i just found a out a technique, with that you probably can get good results. I breathe in and hold the air not in my chest, but in my abdominal( I only breathe about the half amount of air i can get if i breath deeply). Then i contract all my muscles in my abdominal area. Consequently my rib flare is almost complete gone and my sternum comes out very far( i think in this moment there are only 5mm missing). I hold this position as long as i can(after 20 seconds i start feeling giddy). I think the sternum comes out because the pressure you create in the abdominal are pushes the diaphragm in its usual position where it pushes the sternum out. Bjorn and all other readers too, do you think this could help?

This is what happens naturally while lying down on a hard flat surface on the back and yes, it is very helpful.

so am i right when i think that training the core muscles(abdominals, obliques,lower back) can create a kind of pressure, too to push up the diaphragm?
