The reason for the feet to be extremely flat is very likely a combination of genetics and ordinary shoes. When the human heel is lifted up, the pressure on the forefoot will increase and make them deformed (too much weight on the front of the foot). The reason for flat feet to exist at all, is likely that the connections between the muscles and the bones are very soft. And that is probably (my personal view is that i know) the same for pe. Loose connections in the thorax makes it easier to rotate the thorax. Zero drop=Less pressure on the forefoot which means less flattened feet. Zero drop=Better posture, and over time perfect posture which stops the rotation of the thorax, the main reason to development of the condition. Hope this helped you.
