I'm trying to install revit 2019 on my laptop but keep getting the same notification (see below), I've followed the instruction for a clean uninstall and removed all temp data through clearing %temp% folder before re-installing, and I've tried this for both 2020 & 2019. I've also tried the slower installs via the download manager and still getting the same problem. I had this problem when I first installed revit on my work pc, and I did a clean uninstall, reinstalled it, then it was fine; but this time round i'm following the same steps and cannot get it to work.

I've ran Revit on much lower specs so don't think it's that. For some reason I can install Robot on it and it seems to work no problem; however, I've taken Robot off now from when I did my first clean uninstall.

try to go your destop click Revit icon and select run as administrator and try to uninstall your antivirus program (specially MCAfee and reinstall later) and off your firewall and see if helps. thanks

I had not yet installed an antivirus, and turned of all firewalls, and tried running as admin but still the same results. I feel like I've ran out of options and all I want to do is get Revit to work

I followed those clean uninstall steps when I first did the clean uninstall, and removed autodesk completely, as in every last trace possible of autodesk was removed, I did a windows search for 'revit' & 'autodesk' and removed anything associated with them. I also cleaned the %temp% folder prior to install. I really appreciate the help with this, I will somehow get there in the end!

What I'll try is a system restore to before I installed revit for the very first time, and clean all temp files, and install it again form scratch, I'll also set a new restore point before I try to install revit, so I can always revert back to that if unsuccessful again.

Could the problem be that I have Revit installed on multiple machines? currently I have revit installed on 3 computers but under 1 licence (2 at work, and 1 on my laptop) and I'm trying to add another computer (boss's laptop for meetings), and wondering if it is possibly interfering with the licence registry or something.

When I went to deploy Revit 2021 I discovered that AutoDesk has responded to our overwhelming requests to make installation and deployments easier by creating deployments with their easy to use handy dandy online deployment creation tool! I tried it but was unable to define the shared working directories and or push out a default user config via revit-2021.ini.

I use PDQDeploy for deployment, but it is basically a command line install along the lines of below. PDQ uses the script to install to the target computer automatically. The switches can be used with SCCM also.

Why is it so bad? Well I opened an Autodesk support case and worked with a great tech there. He confirmed that indeed, there is no reliable way to exclude the language packs, nor is there a way to exclude the reinstallation of support files on any network drives.

I am not the only person having issues with this, the Autodesk forum has 2-3 threads of peeps with the same issues. The answer seems to be use the classic deployment however Autodesk does not support it, and if you need to download it you have to use Ava the automated Autodesk chatbot to get the package.

And yeah, no, if our Sentinel One was blocking something it would show up in his inbox as part of our alerting process. dynamoplayer.exe came up as complete crapware back in our POC, we know there is plenty of shoddy work in AutoDesk products. Mysterious and silent failing being caused by something BESIDES shoddy work in AutoDesk products is a hard sell at this point.

I have been trying to install the D5 Render Plugin for Revit 2020 & 2021 but there seems to be an issue with the install. I have uninstalled / deleted the D5 Folders in my Appdata folders and tried re-installing but still have the same errors occur.

Yet when I installed 2018.3 & 2019 plugin these work fine with no issues at all! (I need multiple versions of Revit installed as I do drafting work as well as rendering that requires Revit to not be updated)

The only clue I have from the screenshots you sent is that:
-Either Revit is opened and locking the plugin files.
-or a Corruption in registry of Revit 2021, specifically installation path value.

Thank you so much! I used this path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2021 and it helped.
Now revit ask me to select installation folder. Which folder should it be? (I installed D5 Render yesterday so it should be the latest version)

5. Unzip the downloaded revitpythonshell-master package from step 2 and copy the contents of the folder revitpythonshell-master\revitpythonshell-master\RevitPythonShell\DefaultConfig and make a folder with RevitPythonShell2019 or whatever version the Revit version you want to work with and paste the contents into this folder at the path shown in the image below.

i followed the step and in the end I cannot find the CommandLoaderAssembly.dll in revitpythonshell-master\revitpythonshell-master\RevitPythonShell\DefaultConfig folder path and I also cannot find it in the github. Where i can find it or how i can create it? Thanks again.
