Have you tried going into appdata if you are using a windows computer then follow this path: C:\Users\"whatever your user name is here"\AppData in there you should be able to find the brother folder. If there is one in there then first uninstall the brother app, then delete that folder in app data, then reinstall the app again. That should fix it for you.
