Having donated Bali Hai in 2017, I recently found a mainsail I bought a year old used, but never flew Bali Hai. It would have been bought from someone on this forum 8-10 years ago, and whoever it was had two of them, this one and
a shorter hoist heavily roached mainsail that I wound up using. I installed a coach roof harken traveler and raised the boom so the shorter hoist worked better.
The explanation of why it was being sold by the PO was that he races and buys new mainsails every year or two because he can. I am a sucker for good deals, and when he had two, I kept and paid for both rather than returning one.
My wife says it is a sickness, but she smiles when she says it.
I have never had it out of the bag, and can look to see who cut it. I believe it is a standard hoist and foot. Again, the representation to me is that it has had a year or two of use. Dacron, not an exotic. Just rediscovered it a
week or two ago looking for something else.
If anyone is interested, glad to sell for for $200 plus shipping. I think good mainsail.
