I think this is the prelude to a ‘I lost my wallet and I need someone to send me a gift card’ scam…😂

I think his account should be suspended.

Good chance it's a bot and it's spoofing an email address

Dave has been a member since 2008, he was the 8'th member to join this list. I'm willing to give him a chance to straighten out his email.
I strongly suggest that we all treat any communication from Dave Gruendel with caution until this is resolved.

I ran this by an AI algorithm and it gave me this piece of info:

This does not look like a simple random spoof where someone merely forged Dave’s address from an unrelated server. It looks more like the message was sent through Yahoo/AOL webmail infrastructure with Dave’s charter.net address attached, then distributed through the Pearson Boats Google Group. Given the content — “Quick question, do you have an amazon. com account?” — it strongly resembles the opening line of a gift-card scam. So the safest assumption is Dave’s email account or group identity may be compromised, or someone used his account/session.

Do not reply to that message. Contact Dave through a different channel, such as phone or a known prior email thread, and tell him his account may be sending Amazon gift-card scam messages through the Pearson Boats group.
