Hello,
We purchased a P26 summer 2020. In spring 2021, we hired someone to deal with the 'smile' at the keel/hull joint. As he was working on it, he found a void at the aft part of where the keel and hull meet. He filled it, faired it and applied 2 coats of Interprotect. It all looked fine and we have applied anti-fouling paint each season since.
Before launching this month, I noticed some rust on the aft-most keel bolt, and a light crack on the keel, but went ahead and launched. Now I see very slight weeping at that keel bolt. The person who did the original repair recommended applying Aqua Mend around the bolt for now, and deal with it at haulout. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? I would appreciate any advice on this.
Thank you.
Michelle
