any photos or project lists out there for a 323 windlass upgrade?   I'm assuming the shallow anchor locker would need to be changed completely

Attached please find pictures of the windlass that I installed in my P323.  The bow roller is on the starboard side of the forestay and it and the windlass line up with the slight indentation for the anchor rode.

The windlass is raised above the anchor locker base to keep it out of the inevitable water that comes in on a 1" thick piece of plastic board.  A 3" PVC pipe guides the chain into the anchor locker that exists in the bow, which is enough drop to allow the windlass to do its work.  I ran the electric from the wiring for the Lectrasan.  I have a remote control, but generally run the windlass from foot switches mounted just aft of the anchor locker hatch.

Works well.

I used the same space in front of the v-berth for the chain, but mounted the windlass on the deck over the vent tube to drop the chain into the space. I store a spare in the anchor locker, which I didn't think was deep enough. Did the same with the base to raise the windlass.

Having problems posting pix, however.
