I have a Pearson  42.2 and the best location is under the steps .  She is hull number 38 ,  one of the last hulls built .  I would like to think that the builder picked the best spot after so many hulls.

Where is your hot water heater located?

My water heater is starboard of the galley sink under the cabinet.  In order to get a genset under the companionway steps I can relocate my water maker and my house water pump/accumulator. The only thing I don't like about locating the genset there, is it places it over the keel sump and a few other items I have  in the bilge forward of the v-drive and engine.

I would hate to lose the storage in the walk through since its easy to access and there's a lot of it.  Under the chart table is interesting...  The northern lights must be fairly compact to fit there.
