Raising the BOOM

Hello friends
Wondering if anyone has modified their boom by moving it up a little
higher on the mast for safety reasons.

I am aware of small differences this could make on Balance and Center
of Effort, so I am not worried
about that, just wondering if anyone has experienced the benefits and
comfort of a slightly higher boom, maybe 6 inches higher?

I may be making more work for myself, but thats what a boat is for.

You would have to then modify your main sail.

Leave the boom alone and just modify the mainsail to raise the aft end
six inches.
