RPG Tycoon Demo Download Setup For Pcl

This is the game in 2023 June. A lot has happend with the development of the game in the time since i asked if a Demo was always a good idea. I made the demo available but as yet it hasnt exactly proven to be of any real value as feedback from players isnt very forth coming. I continue to update the Demo and it continues to get downloaded so I will keep it that way for the time being.
Apart from that the demo with no advertising to speak of is up to around 1000 downloads, minus the ones I had on gamejolt. So say around 2000+ in total. Keep in mind the game has not always looked as it does now so there are a lot of brave people out there willing to download a game under dev, which is suprising.
We highly recommend you to buy the game in order to support Chris Sawyer and Atari. It's really not that expensive, and gives you the full experience as it should be. Using this demo is at your own risk!
The Zoo Tycoon 2 Demo is a trial version of Zoo Tycoon 2 released on November 18, 2004. There are 4 animals in this demo, the Bengal tiger, the Thomson's gazelle, the dromedary camel, and the common peafowl. It also has several buildings and features from the full game.
The demo is a good idea, no problem with virus or whatsoever. I just do hope that the demo replicates exactly monk88 problems. Perhaps monk88 could download the demo and check if it brings the same problems as the full game.
In any case, the demo with latest DxWnd release seems to work but with some clipping / refresh problem. I'm going to see if I can improve the current situation, that you can easily get whith almost default settings. Here the exported file I'm using, though there are the problem that I told.
P.s. to install the demo in a 64 bit machine you may have to manually copy the files extracted before they get deleted and then download a copy of MicroSoft Setup32.exe to run as an alternative to the unsupported Setup.exe.
Ehi, wait a minute! Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is not the same game as Railroad Tycoon 2!!!!

Fortunately, this demo is quite easier to install. Here are the configuration file and the screenshot. I got no big troubles, I just had to set "DirectX version hook" to "DirectX16"
I downloaded the demo, and the configuations you gave, along with changing to Directx1-6. The demo is running in windowed but inconsistently. At first it gave me picture with color, then every time I opened it after that, the game credits would pass, then the windowed screen would be all black.
The Demo version and DxWnd I was able to close and then open back up in windowed mode multiple times. The screen was just black.

A tweet from Hryb confirmed the new demo was for Xbox 360. Hryb also stated that a demo for Zoo Tycoon has already been available on the Xbox One, which launched on Nov. 22 in several territories around the world. To find the demo on Microsoft's next-gen console, players can use Kinect voice commands.
