So I just did the true pacifist run, but I want my father to experience the game as well, and to experience the game like if it was played for the first time. So is there a way to remove the ominous silence in the menu and restore the music track without resetting?
Since the question didn't mention actually finishing the genocide run you are able to reset and stop at any time. You may get a few strange bits of dialog when you reset but since you haven't completed the genocide run through to completion you are free to reset and still have the non-genocide pacific endings.
Problem is, creator Toby Fox made it next to impossible to scrub the blood from your digital hands. Even if you manage to reset the game, your version of Undertale will be permanently marked, going so far as to change the True Pacifist Ending.
A SAVE can be loaded via the game's menu. The game automatically loads the most recent SAVE whenever the protagonist's HP reaches 0. Meta knowledge plays a heavy role in this since the protagonist and other characters have memories of events that occurred before resetting their SAVE. For example, Toriel remarks that speaking with the protagonist is like speaking with an old friend, while Papyrus feels that they look familiar.
The Reset function is found in the game's menu. This function erases most information stored in a SAVE, such as the protagonist's LV and EXP; resetting, however, does not erase certain variables such as the name. Similarly to loading a SAVE, some characters in the game act differently after a reset.
A True Reset is a function available after completing the True Pacifist Route. It erases most data from the undertale.ini file, exceptions including the Mysterious Door opening and border data on console. The post-Genocide state is in a separate file and unaffected by even a True Reset.
If the Genocide Route is completed, the First Human destroys the world. They then offer the player to recreate the world in exchange for their SOUL. Other than manipulation of the files using a file editor, this is the only way to reset the game. However, accepting this offer also activates a permanent flag in the game's files which affects all subsequent True Pacifist and Genocide endings.
The SAVE files, in-universe, are created by the characters that can SAVE. There are three SAVE files in the game files (located at %LOCALAPPDATA%\UNDERTALE on Windows, /.config/UNDERTALE on Linux and /Library/Application Support/com.tobyfox.undertale/ on macOS):
The True reset function allows gamers to clear all data about their choices and interactions with other characters to experience new outcomes. So, can you perform a True reset in Undertale? Read to learn more!
The Undertale game is available on multiple platforms ranging from PC to PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. So, we are going to see how to true reset on some of these platforms.
The answer is yes. But to unlock this option, one has to complete a pacifist or genocide run (More on this further in the article). When you do this, the game replaces the normal reset with a True reset.
A normal reset is possible at any point within the game. The normal reset takes you to the beginning of the game, erasing things like your game experience and levels. It also removes any restrictions that may stop you from achieving either pacifist or genocide run even though you have completed those runs before.
A True reset is only possible twice within the game. First, you can do a True reset when you complete the pacifist and genocide runs. Second, with a True reset, all non-playable character interactions will wipe off. So, it would be like starting the game afresh.
For example, you may complete a pacifist run and want to see what it would be like to start again and end a genocide run or even attempt a neutral run. To achieve any of the above, the player has to perform a True reset to accomplish that.
A True reset is a way of resetting Undertale such that the characters do not remember your interactions with them. That is the only way to start the game again without past actions affecting the outcome.
You can also do a True reset twice within the game when you have completed either the genocide run or the pacifist run. It can be nice to learn this as it can help you enjoy the game with various experiences. You can also employ some of the tricks for a smoother experience.
First, you need to find your Undertale save folder. This is usually C:/Users/username/AppData/Local/UNDERTALE, but it might be different for you, who knows. It should contain at least a file called undertale.ini and a file called file0, unless you haven't saved your game yet, or the save was deleted.
Once you have found where your existing save data is, you can load it into Flowey's Time Machine to edit it. You don't have to load an existing save though you can select a preset instead at the top, or use the default preset which is set by default.

Try to open the app again and enable Dates and Times reset if Steam unexpectedly quits on macOS. Additionally, you can go to the Applications folder and delete the Steam folder or reinstall Steam after restarting your Mac. Don't forget to protect your data when you come across the force quit! EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac can help.
Meine Frage ist jetzt: Machen Game Over deinen Spielstand kaputt?
However, this upcoming game is far from the first to explore gameplay with time loop phenomena. There are plenty of games out there that have thoroughly investigated how to tell a fascinating story and make a compelling game where time keeps resetting. They range in genre, from horror to adventure-comedy, and vastly differentiate in mechanics. Some are famous, while others are a little more obscure.
Majora's Mask is among one of the most famous games to use a time-loop narrative. Link has a time limit of three days before the loop resets. Part of what makes this time-loop story unique is that it plays out in real-time.
