Because I have just bought a used .30 cal mesa boogie and I think the
tone blows away my g2rs :(

Those are two different, great amps.

Have you tried running the Pearce though the same speaker as the .30 cal and vice versa? Sometimes it's not the amp alone that's grabbing your ear.
