On Sept 14th, Brown's Public Humanities Dept will be gathering at
11:15am the Broad St Synagogue for lunch and to tour the historic
space and learn about a collaborative oral history research project
borne out of the history and new development of the site. These audio
clips, taken from 15 different oral history interviews, are part of an
ongoing effort to share the memories of people who have a connection
to this place - current and former residents of the neighborhood,
people who attended services here and belonged to the congregations
who called the building home, concerned citizens who have become
involved in the revitalization effort. We hope you find these stories
of community life informative as we plan this site's future together.
All are welcome
