~The Superiority of the Night of Qadr~ Narrated Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) that the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever observed Saum (fast) in the month of Ramadhan with sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the Salat (prayers) in the night of Qadr with sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven.” [#2014: The Book of Superiority of the Night of Qadr: Sahih Bukhari] Commentary: The excellence of the night of al-Qadr is such that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) chose this particular night to send the Qur'an down. Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) discusses the value of this night in Surat al Qadr of the Quran and describes it as better than a thousand months. A thousand months is a little over 83 years. Thus if one worships Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) properly and sincerely in this one night, they can hope for the reward of having worshipped for 83 years – more than the lifetime of many people! Don't waste these last 10 nights, worship each night as if it's Laylatul Qadr.
