GET INVOLVED IN PEACE DAY, SEPT. 21ST!

Human Peace Sign New York 2010

AS AN ORGANIZATION, plan an activity in the spirit of peace and non-violence for September 21. MAKE YOUR COMMITMENT NOW. Some options include: a lunch time discussion on a peace issue important to your organization's mission, doing something for the environment, facilitating an activity related to non-violence or hosting a peace celebration. Sept. 21 is also a great day to launch a new initiative or program related to non-violence, unity ad peace.

    Woman meditating

AS AN INDIVIDUAL, make a commitment to do something on Peace Day that is meaningful for you - a minute of silence at noon, creating a peace dove or peace collage with a child...

                                      Hands with peace sign

....an act of compassion, an hour of service, attending a free Peace Day - Philly 2011 event - these are just a few of the many possibilities.  Your observance can be private or public, from a few minutes to all day.
