People who are being victimized feel cut off from other children,
other parents, the community. Being picked on feels shameful, like WE
have done something wrong.
But the truth is, school bullying affects nearly every family at some
time. Statistically, we have the potential for enormous solidarity in
calling attention to school violence and saying, as a community,
"We're not putting up with this any more."
To achieve this solidarity, we need to network. It is our hope at
Peace Maker Foundation to create a true community of parents, students,
and schools that will work together to put an end to attacks.
What about you? Do you have friends or neighbors who have a stake in
fighting school violence together?
Send them an email. Tell them about Peace Maker Foundation, and our
work finding anti-violence efforts in YOUR school.
