Karen Arnett of Community Friends Meeting invites you to read the
following article about a nationwide fast out of concern for those
most vulnerable to the proposed cuts to the national budget:

(1) Please consider joining Karen in fasting on Mondays in April, in
conjunction with many concerned citizens in the USA who read
Sojourners magazine. Karen just learned of the nationwide, organized
fasting in the NY Times article above. She writes, "I would like to
find other folks interested in participating with me - perhaps there
would be people who'd want to meet and brainstorm how we would want to
be involved... The value of the fasting, beyond its spiritual value,
is symbolic, and the main strength of the act of fasting in solidarity
would be in gaining some publicity to help raise awareness."

Join Cincinnati Faith & Justice for the exciting launch of Justice
Night, a time for individuals and organizations to gather together
under the common belief that the world can be a better place. We will
meet others who share our passions and hear stories from the front
lines of society's most pressing issues. There will be a time to meet
and talk to those who are influencing public policy and making a
concrete difference in our area.
Come for Justice Night and stick around for some Jazz music on
Thursday, April 7th, at Rohs Street Café
