Peace Leadership Training Begins October 21

Little Friends For Peace is offering peace leadership training for young people beginning October 21.  Topics include Discovering Peace; Caring for Self, Others, and the Earth; Non-violent Conflict Resolution; Sharing One's Gifts and Talents; Appreciating Diversity; and Meeting Peacemakers. Projects and actions for peace include discussions, cooperative games, art, drama, hands-on activities, and field trips.

 

Training is divided into three tracks:

1) Peace Club for 3rd thru 5th graders

2) Peace Makers In Action for 6th thru 8th graders

3) Youth Peace Leaders for High Schoolers

12:45 - 2:45 p.m. on the third Sunday of every month (Oct. 21, Nov.18, Dec.16, Jan.20, Feb.17, Mar.17, Apr.21, May 19).

Fee:

$20—1 session($5 lunch)

$140—8 sessions ($35 for lunches)
