Islamabad, March 1: Pakistan Thursday said its decision to normalise
trade ties with India reflects a desire to move away from the policies
of the past 40 years but it should not be taken as any dilution of its
stand on "core issues" like Kashmir. "We believe that the
establishment of normal trade relations with India will be mutually
beneficial for both countries. Significantly it also illustrates the
priority that we attach to Pakistan's economic development," Foreign
Minister Hina Rabbani Khar told a news conference at the Foreign

Jammu, Mar 1: The Jammu and Kashmir government Thursday said it has
got a central grant of Rs 8.86 crore for providing quality education
in Madrassas in the state….The Madrassas have to apply to the state
government in the prescribed format for receiving the grant-in-aid, he
said.

Chandigarh, Mar 1: State-run Indian Oil Corporation would expand its
oil pipeline from Jalandhar to J&K and Himachal Pradesh. The company
would also set up two oil terminals at an estimated cost of over Rs
600 crore. The expansion of 526-km long Mathura-Panipat-Jalandhar oil
pipeline is envisaged to bring efficiency in the movement of petroleum
products and saving in transportation cost to both the states, a
senior official of Indian Oil (IOC) said here today…
