Aiming at complete trade normalisation by the end of this year, the
federal cabinet not only approved a negative list of 1,209 banned
items, which will allow trade in all other goods with India. At
present, Pakistan maintains a positive list of 1,945 items that are
allowed to be traded between the two countries. The switch from a
positive to a negative list has long been a hurdle to freeing up trade
between the two…

A bench of justices R. M. Lodha and S.S. Nijjar hoped that Pakistani
High Commission will take early steps to identify and confirm the
nationality of the prisoners, 21 of whom are said to mentally
challenged. Until their nationality is confirmed, the Union Government
should take steps to remand the 37 prisoners in detention homes at
Delhi and Amritsar with all basic amenities, while the Gujarat
government should take similar steps for the 11 fishermen in the
state, the bench said in an order…

Indo-Bangla ties are on the "right track" as there is political will
and courage in both countries now to step up bilateral relations,
Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni has said. "Bangladesh and India
have excellent relations... We have good report card for the last
three years," she told a dialogue on Indo-Bangla relations here
yesterday. The minister said the Indo-Bangla relations were in a
"transformational phase due to political will of the top leadership"…
