A venture between the Pakistani and Indian government, Lifestyle Pakistan is the first of its kind, four day showcase trade exhibition taking place at one of the largest venues in Delhi, Pragati Maidan, from the 12th of April to the 15th of April, 2012. Over 300 stalls exhibiting a vast array of Pakistani fashion, textiles, leather products, accessories, home furnishing and a taste of traditional food specialty items will be showcased. The free trade pact among the eight member nations of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) will be operational by the year-end once Pakistan grants India most-favoured nation (MFN) status, says a top chamber chief….Independent studies have shown that regional integration in South Asia could generate billions of dollars in new income and employment, push trade and investment and also help member nations fight poverty with inclusive growth.

Police officials, prosecutors and judges of South Asian region, including Pakistan, and representatives from Interpol on Tuesday came on one platform to develop a “network” of common enterprise to combat terrorism in this part of the continent. The three-day workshop jointly hosted by the Central Government and United National Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) will focus on borderless cooperation to counter global terrorism “and learn from each other’s experience”…
