New Delhi, Sep 29 (PTI) IAEA chief Mohammad ElBaradei today hailed
India as a "leading advocate" for nuclear disarmament and asked the
world to listen to its "voice" on elimination of all nuclear weapons.
"India called for the elimination of all nuclear weapons as far back
as 1948. It is important that India's voice should continue to be
heard as a leading advocate for nuclear disarmament," he said
addressing the International Conference on Peaceful Uses of Atomic
Energy here…

POONCH, Sept 29: The trading community of both the sides of divided
Jammu and Kashmir today urged their respective governments to enhance
tradable goods and to streamline money transactions for the smooth
conduct of cross Line of Control (LoC) trade. The demands were raised

Islamabad, Sep 29 (PTI) Pakistan has mooted to India the creation of a
joint maritime security agency to prevent sea borne terrorist attacks
like the one on Mumbai last year that killed 183 people. The Pakistan
navy has suggested the creation of the joint maritime security agency
to the government, Naval chief Admiral Noman Bashir told reporters
after inaugurating a conference on piracy organised in southern port
city of Karachi by the Master Mariners Society of Pakistan…

draft Energy Conservation Bill 2009 in order to offset the growth in

Over 6,000 Tamil youths, including 1,000 women, have responded to a
recruitment drive for the ethnic community in the former Liberation
Tigers of Tamil Eelam stronghold Jaffna for the first time in three-

the north and east, an official said, adding they are very keen and
showing much enthusiasm to join the force…
