Afghan officials and an insurgent group reacted positively to an
impassioned appeal from Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for
all stakeholders to enter into an intra-Afghan dialogue in order to

Bangladesh has expressed its willingness to invest in the thriving
Indian service industry with the government recently sending a wish
list of potential service sector areas to the Indian government for
opening up those to Bangladeshi investors. The areas of the service
sector for which Dhaka has sought Indian approval are accounting and
auditing, financial services, management consulting services, computer
services, telecom services, courier services, construction services,
education services, audio-video services and maritime services…

The secretary-level talks between India and Nepal on the Indo-Nepal
Trade Treaty got off to a positive start with both sides veering
towards a meeting point on some thorny bilateral issues including the
controversial value addition clause. Sources in the Indian Commerce
Ministry told The Himalayan Times that the two sides have more or less
thrashed out their differences on several issues including value
addition norms for some specific items…
