The Pakistani starlet, Ali Zafar, is currently in India for an upcoming film ‘Chashme Buddoor’, which is a remake of the 1981 hit film of the same name. The actor made the impassioned plea for peace on an Indian TV show while he was promoting his latest film ‘London, New York, Paris’….Zafar said, “What happens in the world is people cut each others’ throats, give sadness to each other, the two countries are also part of this… we’ve lost too much in all this… The future generations deserve much better”…

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has told Salman Bashir, who has been named Pakistan's high commissioner to India, to pay special attention to improving ties. The prime minister directed Bashir to seeking resolution of outstanding issues, notably Kashmir. Bangladesh will start importing around 500mw electricity from India from July next year, opening up a new source of power. Additional 250mw power would be directly procured through competitive bidding from Indian market. The state-owned Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB) has already inked a deal with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN), a subsidiary of India's National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), on February 28 to import 250mw electricity, Power Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told journalists Tuesday…
