I wanted to thank everybody for coming out this week. There was a bit
of confusion and I apologize for the poor planning. We're a young
group, what can I say? But, it turned out to be a good night with a
lot of new faces and many returning ones from last month. Please feel
free to leave your thoughts on what you'd like to see out of this
group.

One of my goals with trying to start this group was to create an
atmosphere that would bring out the best and brightest of Portland's
web community and early-stage companies and give them a chance to meet
each other and a platform to show what they're working on. Sounds like
everyone's supporting that idea so far, and Ray's leading the effort to
do this with a website and online community (thanks Ray).

The other component to that is attracting the people with the power to
move the community forward in terms of investing. Several of us
discussed the idea of hosting a slightly more formal event (kind of
like the Boston group, http://webinnovatorsgroup.com/) every few months
in addition to our monthly get togethers, which would be a pure demo
type forum for groups to present their stuff. With some work, we can
try to involve more of the established tech community and investor
crowd. If you're interested in such a thing, let me know and we can
start planning.
