to Zissou Society for Programming Language Exploration
Hey all.
I floated the idea of a general programming language discussion/
exploration group last week. The response was positive so here you go.
Rather than trying to force a monthly meeting, I think the model the
DataViz group uses is best: arrange a meeting when there are enough
presenters and enough interest in a meeting.
In that spirit, consider this a Call for Presentations: Any
programming language is fine, but the more unique, thought provoking,
or brain-shaking, the better. Presentations can take whatever form
you'd like, just don't bore us. (That might be rule #1: Don't Bore
Us!)
This is a wide-open group, so contribute your thoughts and ideas and
let's work toward an interesting and educational evening now and then.
Matt
p.s. - assuming that there is enough interest, I'm thinking early in
the new year (Jan/Feb) would work for a first meeting. Suggestions for
venue, etc. are welcome.
