I set up a group for us on Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/Portland-JavaScript-Admirers/

Meetup provides some extra tools for organizing things.  I'm particularly interested in the RSVP feature as that could help us better organize pizza and drinks.  I encourage everyone to sign up and to hit the RSVP button for meetings that you are planning to attend.

The only reason I ever login to meetup is to RSVP for things. Please
continue to post on calagator, or I will miss 90% of meetings.

It looks as if there are two meeting entries for the 22nd. Some RSVPs are going to one,  some to the other.

Nicely done Jesse - I swear I'd heard about this group a little while ago, but somehow it never got on my planning radar.

I saw an email from Meetup today suggesting this as a group I'd like (I do) and I immediately joined up, RSVP'd and sub'd the Google Group as well.

For me, Meetup is a great way to find new local user groups and gauge what they're about and who else I know who's part of them. Thanks for helping to get this on my radar!

Meetings will definitely still be posted on Calagator. I also intend
to continue using this list as the primary communication channel.

Yes, I ran into some weirdness setting up a recurring meeting and then
modifying the start date. I believe that beginning in June we will
have just one entry per meeting. In the meantime we will have to add
up and de-duplicate RSVPs for the two entries.
