Microsoft is putting on a Windows 8 workshop and hackathon on Friday, June 7. JavaScript is one of the 3 fully supported languages for writing Windows 8 apps. In fact, apps which come with Windows 8 such as the News, Finance, Sports, and Travel apps were written with JavaScript. I thought some of you might be interested in learning how to take your JS skills, write apps, and make money. Details below.
It's OK if you don't have Windows 8. We'll show you how to run a free evaluation edition inside a virtual machine. It'll contain everything you need to build an app.
